The University of Houston – Sugar Land’s augmented and virtual reality lab presents, the I Want YOU for Mixed Reality campaign! Through this campaign, we want to hear your thoughts on AR and VR. This is your opportunity to ask questions and learn something new about these emerging technologies. You can submit your questions for a chance to see the answers posted to our social media or answered in a live-stream by Dr. Tony Liao. If you would like to help CougAR Cat recover some of our stolen webpages, check out the Investigation below.
Dr. Tony Liao, an expert in the field of augmented and virtual reality, will be holding a live-streamed Q&A on Twitch. During the stream, he will go through the questions that you send in online. If you have questions about augmented or virtual reality, this is how you can get those questions answered.
Augmented and virtual reality are at our fingertips, but something, or someone, is preventing us from fully understanding this emerging field of technology. C_Bandit has hidden away the tools for understanding and creating mixed reality experiences. Help investigator CougAR Cat track down the stolen information and figure out what he is trying to hide.
CougAR Cat has unearthed some clues, but cannot solve them alone. While CougAR Cat has some ideas for finding the stolen info, he is digital and cannot do what you can in physical reality. Below are his plans for finding the stolen information and he needs your help to carry them out.
“I have reason to believe that C_Bandit has found a way to store the info in the physical world, and it has something to do with the CougAR Lab's campaign fliers that he vandalized. He is likely trying to taunt me. Find the fliers and check both sides carefully for any clues that you can find. The fliers can be found at the University of Houston – Sugar Land campus in the Albert and Mamie George building and the Sugar Land Academic building. Good luck!”
“These are some codes I was able to find. I’ve deduced that, when solved, these codes provide the final keyword in a URL extension. By typing the correct keyword at the end of this URL in your web browser, we can find the info. Do you best, and remember to only use lowercase letters.”
