Campaign Story

The CougAR Lab studies the impact and uses of mixed reality devices and applications, such as VR headsets, AR social media filters, and more.

To help with their research, the lab wanted to ask other students what questions or thoughts they have about mixed reality.

To get students’ attention, the lab made some marketing materials like fliers to post around the campus and this website. With the website they planned to gather questions they could answer on social media or in their planned live-stream.

They also made a short video to pose their own questions to students about the morals of certain AR in social media.

Finally, the lab made CougAR Cat, a mascot in the virtual world to help them with this campaign.

But suddenly, three of the webpages disappeared.

All the lab could find was a note on the Media page that said: “These pages are now property of C_Bandit. Finders Keepers.”

Not only that, but the fliers they made were vandalized with AR filters. The lab only found out once they saw that C_Bandit somehow snuck QR codes onto the printed fliers.

The campaign was about to start and the lab did not have the time to remake the missing pages or reprint the fliers.

Luckily, CougAR Cat took it upon himself to dig up clues to find the stolen webpages.

With your help, the webpages can still be found.
